Scout Parties

 

A Maze in Pottery is an ideal destination for any Scout troop field trip. We are proudly participating in the tradition of earning Scout Badges!

 

Your troop will learn about the process of ceramics making: about glazing, firing, and how the kiln works.

 

 

We are a local small business established by an immigrant woman, and we are very happy to talk to the Scouts about an entrepreneurial aspect of our studio, about our mission and commitment to the community and organizations we work with to make the world a better place.

 

Besides Scout parties, we have been partnering with our local Scouts of all ranks and ages on their personal and group projects like tile walls at schools or creating pottery painting classes for non-profit organizations. You can read more about it here. Scouts, parents of Scouts, or Troop leaders are always very welcome to contact us to discuss a partnership.

 

Now ALL PARTIES are available in ONLINE VERSION on ZOOM, led by our studio Creative Instructor. Pottery pieces, paints, and tools will be packed individually for your guests.

Scouts Fun Choice

Your scouts will have a blast painting a figurine of their choice from our famous Party Shelves. The choices include various animals, mythical creatures like unicorns mermaids and such, princesses, boxes, cups and cereal bowls.

Paint S’more Plate

Your troop will have a blast painting a salad size color-in S’more plate using a choice of a few unique pottery painting techniques such as stickers, sponging, and squeeze bottles. While having creative fun and strengthening friendship they will work on earning their potters badge.

Splatter Bowl or Mug

The joyful splattering painting technique, invented by famous American pop art artist Jackson Pollock always bring lots of laugh and sense of freedom. Your troop will enjoy this unique experience together while working on earning a pottery and painting badge. We will give the scouts a short introduction to pop art and discuss some most popular art pieces of that period.

Butterfly Tile

The scouts will have lots of fun creating a beautiful picture on a 6X6 inch tile using techniques such as masking tape, contact paper, toothbrush (!) and our studio favorite-confetti (crumbs of recycled under-glaze paints). During this project, the painters will have a chance to dip their own tile in glaze,

This project is available only during weekdays.
